Many people have dental questions about brushing and flossing their teeth. Everyone needs to brush their teeth at least three times a day, according to the American Dental Association (ADA). We recommend flossing right after brushing to remove any remaining plaque and keep the spaces between the teeth as clean as possible. All patients are encouraged to learn proper brushing and flossing techniques from our dental hygienist. If you have questions about your routine, just ask! We are more than happy to provide tips and guidance.

This is one of the most common dentist questions we receive. Seeing one of the doctors and our hygienist at Bozeman Dental Group regularly throughout the year can help ward off oral health issues and ensure you maintain optimal oral health for years to come. We recommend coming in for a teeth cleaning and exam at least twice a year, or more often if you have periodontal disease. We also provide an oral cancer screening on an annual basis.

Regular dental visits are a preventive care measure. Many oral health problems can occur below the gum line and can only be detected by taking digital x-rays or using a laser device that detects cavities. Even if you are not in pain, you must come in and see one of our doctors for a checkup. If you have any type of tooth pain or notice signs of an infection, please schedule an appointment immediately.
